Zoooooooooo!

We needed one last HURRAH as a family of three, so we headed out to the NC Zoo yesterday with the Bug. We went with an entourage of grandparents, aunties, and boyfriends in April, but Bug has grown and changed so much since then! We walked, talked, practiced animal sounds, enjoyed the beautiful fall weather, rested (mostly for mommy's sake!), looked, posed, snapped, snacked, and walked a whole lot more!

(I was very sore last night!)

Bug and Mommy taking a break from checking out the rhinos!
Bug and Daddy in the Bird Aviary (she kept signing "more" every time we'd see a new bird!)
Are you guys making sure this guy isn't going to buck me?!
That's one big elephant!
The zoo mostly seems like it's for kids to enjoy, but both times we've been this year, Hubby and I have been blown away by the amazing-ness of God's creation! How funny that He designed the baboons with red, calloused bottoms... and the elephants with long trunks... and the giraffes with incredible necks (and long tongues!). He purposed that flamingos would stand on one leg, and peacocks would have plenty of plumage to show off. Each creature so unique and awesome in design-- what a great Creator we worship!

The LORD is gracious and merciful;
Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.
The LORD is good to all,
And His mercies are over all His works.
All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD,
And Your godly ones shall bless You.
Psalm 145:8-10

Wonderful photos, especially the last one from behind the buggy/stroller of the elephant.
