I have a few fears and they all relate to cooking. Until recently I have feared three things: working with yeast, cooking fish, and cooking a turkey.
If you ask my Hubby, he would tell you I'm a decent cook. I've definitely grown as a chef since we got married (and I served him casserole every night). I'm not the world's best, but not the worst either. And I'm not very brave in the kitchen. When I look at a new recipe, my two criteria for trying it are 1. not too many ingredients 2. can pronounce all the ingredients.
I am proud to say I have conquered all three of my fears in recent months. I'm not sure what's gotten into me. Perhaps I feel like if I can manage with three children, I can do just about anything. I got some yeast and used it to make pretzels. Then I bought salmon and baked it for my family. Then I decided to make the turkey for our Thanksgiving celebration with friends yesterday.

So... all these years I've feared working with things that seemed hard or complicated and now I realize, I can do anything I set my mind to, if I'll just roll up my sleeves and go for it!
