Growing

Planted in the soil of a family,

Roots grow deep

Stem grows tall.

Every day I watch them.

Hug them. Kiss them. Teach them. Show them.

Water them. Tend them. Protect them.

Then I blink and wonder how they grew--

Roots so deep and stems so tall

And blooms beyond description.
